Comment to Carnegie - You are doing a fine job at not only keeping up the competition with other foreign markets, but also helping to shape and rebuild this great nation as a whole. Without the help of you Mr. Carnegie our economy would have less stimulation resulting in more of an economic depression.
Comment to Carnegie - This nation must learn to work and earn what they want and need. You sir have done just that, just as I have myself since this nation's Civil War. You have built your business from the ground up and our countries citizens should look upon you as an example of what hard work and dedication can achieve.
Comment to Debs - Mr. Debs I admire your passion and work towards better wages and better working lives for our American citizens resulting in the Unions. I'm sad to hear your wishes in becoming the President didn't work out, but that was most likely for your rash criticism of the big businesses that are helping this economy to prosper in its darker hours.
Comment to Debs - I see your passion for our citizens, but you mustn't be too compassionate otherwise the people will become lazy and ignorant making themselves want what they don't deserve. You must understand that if an individual or even a society of people become content on getting what they want, whenever they want it they will neither be productive or helpful to this great nation.
Comment to Weaver - Mr. Weaver you seem to me to be an ignorant man who has a one-sided point of view upon the issues of our nation. At this moment in time we face a terrible economic crisis which all Americans are burdened by. Nothing can help this except our businesses that are prospering giving the labor force jobs they need to feed their families. These conditions may not be perfect, but are necessary for the moment if this country is once again going to prosper.
Comment to Weaver - Mr. Weaver you must see the issues within the American government through a single point of view rather than understanding what is truly going on. We are protecting this nation from foreign businesses by raising the tariffs which helps not only our businesses, but also our farmers. You are getting the benefits from our action because with foreign prices raised where is our nation to buy its produce from, but none other than our American farmers. Our government is also working to better the condition of our American labor force within these businesses as well.
Comment to Nast - Mr. Nast you are quite an interesting character that impresses me you have used your form of art to appeal to many people in this country and with that you have taken down a politician who had been stealing from the American people. I greatly thank you for your service in helping the American people during this terrible time of our economic depression.
Comment to Nast - At the same time Mr. Nast you also irritate me by making caricatures to put down politicians and higher ranked people in this great nation that you don't agree with, but who have worked just as hard or harder than you to get to where they are now. It is simply outrageous to put a good man down after all the work he has done to contribute to leading a successful life while also contributing to America as a whole.
Comment to Tweed - I'm quite disappointed in you Mr. Tweed. As another politician to another our job is to help the American people to the full extent that we can rather than steal the money that the American people have labored many hard and long hours for. You display the worst kind of American, the Americans who expect to get what they believe they deserve without the work to get there and help your own country improve.
Comment to Tweed - You are a disgrace to the American political system, you say you've helped improve the city of New York, but did you ever ask yourself if you could have improved it to the best of your ability? I assume the answer is no since you cowardly ran after stealing money from the American people. Our job as politicians during this time was to stimulate the economy during this depression, and stealing from the American people is just the opposite of our noble cause.
